Specbos Spectroradiometers
The Specbos is a versatile, miniaturised spectroradiometer with the ability to measure both spectral radiance and spectral irradiance in one instrument - and the corresponding photometric quantities of luminance (cd/m2) and illuminance (lux). Specbos models provide for measurements in the 250-1000nm range, with specialist versions available for flash photometry and average LED intensity in accordance with CIE 127:2007. There are also Specbos models configured for measuring the reflected colour of materials.
Ease-of-use and flexibility are key to the popularity of the Specbos. It can be converted from making measurements of spectral irradiance to spectral radiance simply by removing the clip-on cosine receiver. At the same time, the chart in the software automatically changes from an irradiance to a radiance scale. A built-in red laser pointing device conveniently defines the measurement spot for luminance measurements. The minimum measurement spot size is 4mm, athough additional focussing optics are available to reduce this for testing smaller objects such as alpha-numeric displays.
